Accreditation Program

How are SA franchises (in developed countries) connected?

Because the SA Foundation recognizes the very delicate balance between the overall organizational structure of SA as a whole and the need for self-direction within each SA charitable franchise, the SA Foundation, through its World Services Division, has established a voluntary accreditation program.

Each organization that has adopted the SA Franchise is set up to pursue accreditation within the first five formative years and is invited to apply for such accreditation at the 5-year mark from the inception of their SA charitable franchise at the SA World Services Division. The SA Foundation's accreditation program provides SA Franchises with a community within which they can find the support and resources needed to effectively carry out their organization's vision and mission. As well, it enables the SA World Services Division to secure the unity of purpose of SA as a whole.

Reasons SA charitable franchises would want to pursue and remain accredited:

  1. It gives them continued access to training and support
  2. It helps SA leaders (founding members) ensure that the original vision they had for the organization does not get lost as new generations of leadership are put in place
  3. It increases their impact on a global level
  4. It provides opportunities for leaders of accredited SA franchises to join the SA World Services Division to train, equip and mentor new leaders in SA franchises worldwide
