As each SA franchise grows their Organizational Development Team (ODT) ensures that graduated program participants who are no longer part of the Followcare program, and other individuals who have been involved within the SA franchise, are included in the process of building their community as honorary servants. The honorary servants' structure is developed and maintained for the purpose of mentoring and training for servant-leadership positions as one of the core values of SA is that graduated program participants are the servant-leaders of the future.
For graduated program participants, to become honorary servants keeps their anonymity intact. At this level, these youth and women are simply contributing members on an equal basis with everyone else considered in good standing within the SA franchise. They are no longer labeled as 'ex' anything. For individuals who have been involved in the SA franchise, as well as graduated participants, to become honorary servants shows them that they are valued by the Voting Membership/Board/key leadership. Honorary servants must be in good standing with their SA franchise, but may not yet meet the eligibility criteria of Voting Membership/Board/key leadership. Good standing as an honorary servant within an SA franchise means that the individual has served in the SA franchise honorably and effectively for at least one year. Honorary servants are not only invited to participate at the Annual Retreat of their SA franchise, but are also welcome at the SA Foundation's Annual Conference where they are welcome to bring their recommendations forward.
The international community of SA is built when honorary servants (graduated program participants) meet together with the SA Foundation at the SA Annual Conference to share experiences, hopes and strengths with each other as discovered while involved in an SA charitable franchise model and to devise strategies for tackling sexual exploitation and trafficking at a global level.
This unity of purpose fosters a spiritual core that nourishes and strengthens each charitable SA franchises' resolve to continue its work.
In addition, participants of SA Formation of Servants groups are encouraged to contribute to SA's international community.
