In addition to the Accreditation program explained below, the SA Foundation created a Certification program for the key leadership of charitable SA franchises to give them the opportunity to contribute at the World Services Division as they progress in their own personal levels of Certification.
The Certification program enables each key leader of charitable SA franchises to have individualized milestones to mark their progress in training and development within their charitable SA franchise. Certification means that each recipient has completed the work for that level of certification and is in compliance with the standards of the SA Foundation. Each key leader progresses through the levels of certification as courses are completed and tasks have been achieved in the Pre-Development and Development Process. There are five levels of Certification – Level One, Level Two, Level Three, Level Four and Level Five. Certification is awarded upon completion of the requirements within each level. Certification of each key leader is the prerogative of the SA Foundation and can be suspended upon non-compliance with SAF standards.
Because the SA Foundation recognizes the very delicate balance between the overall organizational structure of SA as a whole and the need for self-direction within each SA charitable franchise, the SA Foundation, through its World Services Division, has established a voluntary accreditation program.
Each organization that has adopted the SA Franchise is set up to pursue accreditation within the first five formative years and is invited to apply for such accreditation at the 5-year mark from the inception of their SA charitable franchise at the SA World Services Division. The SA Foundation's accreditation program provides SA Franchises with a community within which they can find the support and resources needed to effectively carry out their organization's vision and mission. As well, it enables the SA World Services Division to secure the unity of purpose of SA as a whole.
