Training and Equipping Program

Potential servant leaders in cities nationally and internationally continuously seek to implement the SA charitable franchise model, but lack the necessary understanding and skills to meet the unique recovery needs of sexually exploited/trafficked youth, women and their children.

In order to assure the effective implementation of the SA franchise model in these cities, the SA World Services Division provides comprehensive training and mentoring programs for servant leaders (founding members).

Training is provided through the following courses:

1.      Understanding the SA Franchise Model

This course equips servant leaders (founding members) with the knowledge and skills to:

  1. Describe what an SA organization's internal community is built upon and define ways they will build such community in their SA franchise model
  2. Describe what an SA organization's working community involves and write their SA franchise's Mission and Vision statements
  3. Implement template governance structures provided by the SA Foundation and apply for incorporation and charitable status
  4. Screen, hire and orient Voting Members, Board members and the Executive Director
  5. Define what the SA franchise model is - identifying its consumers, products and investors and accurately predict costs of program delivery and program outcomes at one, three and five years and organizational impacts at seven to ten years
  6. Define their SA franchise model's social return on investment
  7. Screen, hire and orient a Program Coordinator and Live-in Servants
  8. Design the SA franchise model's 5-year Strategic (Business) Plan
  9. Practice the SA Formation of Servants Program
  10. Describe what the Accreditation process involves with the SA Foundation

2.         Implementing SA Programs

This course equips servant leaders with the knowledge and skills to:

  1. Research and develop community resources/referrals
  2. Set up and deliver Front-line Housing Programs
  3. Supervise Live-in Servants
  4. Set up and manage the Day Program
  5. Screen, hire and orient Program Staff and Volunteers
  6. Deliver the Day Program Curriculum
  7. Manage participant behaviours
  8. Set up and run the Babysitting Service
  9. Deliver the Followcare Program
  10. Complete internal/external program evaluations

*All program delivery materials (job descriptions, forms, curriculum, etc.) are provided within this course
