The SA Foundation has been proactive in establishing an account to receive donations of publicly traded securities and welcomes such donations to help us offset our charitable purposes.

According to a newsletter published by Berris Mangan Chartered Accountants, the 2006 Federal Budget offers great incentives for donors to donate publicly traded securities.

Since May 2, 2006 the capital gains inclusion rate for donated securities has been zero. The donation receipt will continue to be issued for the value of the securities donated.”
